Egg loans
Egg loans
Egg was established in 1998 as a division of Prudential, the UK financial services group. The world's largest pure online bank was sold to Citigroup in 2007 and now offers a range of banking, investing and insurance products, all managed online.
When it comes to loans, Egg doesn’t usually make the best buy tables, as it tends to offer higher rates in comparison to the rest of the market (at the time of writing Egg’s loan rate was 9.9% APR) in exchange for greater flexibility within the loan.
Loans run from between six months to seven years, and have no early repayment charges should you wish to pay the loan off early. In addition, Egg allows you to put lump sum payments towards the loan at any time, without penalty.
