Tesco Credit Cards

As one of the UK’s biggest retailers, Tesco is reported to take £1 for every £8 spent in supermarkets. It launched Tesco Personal Finance back in 1997 in a joint venture with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), offering savings accounts, insurance products, personal loans and credit cards.

Like the Sainsbury’s bank credit card, the Tesco Clubcard credit card allows cardholders to earn extra Clubcard points through their daily shopping. You can currently get 5 points for every £4 you spend in-store or at tesco.com, and one point for every £4 spent elsewhere.

Tesco also offers a Bonus credit card for those who do not clear their balance every month. On each anniversary of account opening, Tesco will give you 1/12th back of what you've paid in interest, softening the blow of what is usually one of the most expensive ways to borrow.
