Capital One Credit Cards

When it comes to the good, the bad, and the ugly, Capital One can be described as all three rolled into one.

At the time of writing its heavily marketed 4% cashback credit card attracts a typical APR of 15.9%, and its Platinum card an APR of 9.9% with a relatively low balance transfer fee of 1.7%.

However, if you possess a credit record that’s less than perfect then you could end up paying an eyewatering 34.9% APR on your credit card purchases. Ouch.

The current 4% cashback offer applies to purchases for the first three months. Purchases made after this will earn 1% cashback. For those with a slightly impaired credit rating, Capital One’s Classic Visa Card is the APR offender, and Fools should stay clear of this credit card if they don’t pay off their balance in full each month.
